We are currently an eclectic homeschool, taking inspiration from both the Charlotte Mason and Classical styles. I realized that I don’t really fit into a single box and neither do my kids. We felt it was important for our kids to learn by a variety of methods, no matter their age.  We have memorizing, reading, hands-on, and personal interest activities all weaved into our school.

There is no need to stick to the rigid schedule of traditional school.  Isn’t that one of the perks of homeschooling?  Yes, you may have to meet your state requirement of school days, but YOU get to say when those days are.
